Squad Outing
Hey ladies and gentlemen! It's been a long time since we met up!
So i'm proposing an outing.
Date : 25th April Time : 3pm onwards Venue : I don't mind volunteering my nest if your want to play mahjong, cards etc. Things to do : I don't know. I guess we can do anything anytime anywhere as long as we meet up eh.
And maybe go for a dinner after that. Suggestions anyone?

about "the devil wears prada"
this is like 5 minutes before i book in back camp for the week but i jus wanted to do a post after watchin this movie on 5.
movies usually present the 2 extremes of reality, either too ideal to be true or too ridiculous to be happening in the real world.
however, the daunting difficulties Andrea (Anne Hathaway) had to deal with as the personal assistant of Runway CEO Miranda (Meryl Streep) would probably bring some inkling to some of us who had to face absurd requests from our bosses, complaints from men, unreasonable working partners, or simply tasks that stream in every day incessantly, usually leaving us clueless as to how to start about doing it, or whether there'll even be an end in them.
yet she accomplished it, first step of course being the most difficult to take, and the subsequent challenges apparently are so determined to make Andrea quit at the first instant.
this is drawing such a starking parallel to what im currently facing as the logistics executive of a certain company right now. the managers of other departments obviously do not know the constraints we logisticians are facing, putting up requests with the presumptions that we would definitely be able to meet their demand, and with the "confidence" that we would get it ready on time given such a short reaction time.
last thursday was quite nightmarish. fortunately a silver lining appeared, only then can i go for the long weekend that just passed with a relieved mind. before i dismissed the subordinates, i told them clearly: "as logisticians, be prepared, expect the unexpected and the unreasonable. you are gonna face even more evil and cruel stuff out there."
and watching "the devil wears prada" further ingrained into me the professionalism i have to exhibit in my daily jobscope despite the impossibilities i have to embrace each day.
so to all those facing impossibilities each day (and that practically means everyone),
press on
and show the world (and yourself)
that YOU can turn impossibilities into possibilities.
it only depends on YOU.
